CSA is excited to have opened our ‘CSA Membership’. This is open to anyone who loves the CSA family and wants to stay connected. Within CSA membership, there are 2 levels:

1: Mission Helper
This is someone not in Leadership but loves helping out at a CSA mission when they can.
PLEASE NOTE: A helper will need a ‘Working with Children’ number. If you need this, please head to the ‘Working with Children’ tab.

2: General Member
This is someone who can’t help within a mission but loves the work CSA does.

In both levels of Membership, there are 3 elements, these being:

1. Financial
2. Prayer
3. Staying connected

CSA Leadership has changed. We have tried to make it easier but at the same time, we needed to make a few changes to protect not only our leaders but the people would come along to our missions events.

Before you get started, here is a checklist so when you fill out your Leadership form, you have all the components:

1. Hold a current ‘Working with Children’ number. You will need to provide these details. If you don’t have this, please click on the Working with Children tab and head to your state to fill this out.
2. Have chatted with your Pastor about being in Leadership in CSA
3. Have selected a person to be your accountability partner

• If you can tick these off, you can proceed with your Leadership form:
• The Leadership form will be emailed from the National Office or your Regional Coordinator.
• Leadership payment – this will be invoiced to you once your form is completed.

PLEASE NOTE

• Once you have completed your form, you will be emailed a login to completed an ‘Online Child Safety Training’. You will have 1 month to complete this.
• CSA will be conducting a CV check on each new CSA Leader at no expense to the Leader.
• Recommend Senior First Aid/Provide Advanced First Aid through Surf Lifesaving – Find your Surf Lifesaving State – click here
  Please note: First Aid is current for 3 years. CPR is only current for 1 year.

Check List

• All Leaders have completed their Leadership Form for 2018.
• All mission Helpers have completed their Membership Form for 2018
• You have communicated with your Regional Coordinator about being a CSA mission
• You have communicated with the chosen Pastor about being a Partner Church
• 1 -2 leaders have their Senior First Aid
• 1 – 2 leaders have their Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion
• You have checked your regional webpage to make sure your details are correct
• Your Mission has a First Aid Kit

We strongly recommend that this form is filled out with your ‘Core group’ of leaders. Once you can tick off all the elements on the checklist, you can proceed with your Mission Application.

PLEASE NOTE: this needs to be filled out before you start running events within your mission/hubs.

Senior First Aid
If no one in your core group has their Senior First Aid/Provide advanced first aid. We recommend you book in with your State Surf Lifesaving. They run a number of First Aid courses throughout the year – Find your Surf Lifesaving State – click here

All CSA Leaders and CSA Helpers will need to have a current ‘Working with Children’ number. If you don’t have this, please head to your state requirements & work through the procedure.

You won’t be able to process within Leadership or Membership Helper without one.
