Misfit Shapes represents an authentic response to an era of change, a 'surf' stemmed movement that allows art, design and individuality to co-exist within a realm more commonly dominated by conformity and observation.

Misfit Shapes was founded by Dave Howell and Chris Chong, who both have long-standing Christian faiths. Dave actually came to faith at a Christian Surfers gathering in Manly in 2004. Since this time Misfit Shapes and CS have partnered on many events and initiatives including the development of Ground Swell Aid.

Compassion’s holistic child development programs are designed to be adapted to suit the local context and needs. CS has partnered with Compassion, primarily focused on supporting children and their families in Rote Island, Indonesia.

Mercy Huts, established in 2012, exists to benefit local people living in poverty in Indonesia through the provision of education, employment and financial aid. This will be achieved through the development of beachfront retreats for holiday-makers that give back to the local community. The first of these is located in Rote Island, Indonesia.
